So I loaded up my purse with snacks and toys for distractions. We got him there and my hairdresser, Angela, had a little booster seat to put on the regular chair. We strapped him in and she put a hair clip and comb on the tray for him, which he thought was cool. He also enjoyed the "under the sea" themed apron, since making fish noises is his new favorite animal, second only to the kitty sound. We distracted him by letting him comb our hair (Missy and I), and he mostly enjoyed eating a glazed donut hole, brought along as a special first haircut treat.
Bennett did fairly well - no fussing or trying to get out of the seat. But every once in awhile he'd jerk his head to look at the girl next to us, or to try and see what Angela was doing. So she kind of had to work around that, but she has kids so she's used to it. She was able to trim the back, sides, and overall thick spots on his head. He looks great and very much like a little boy instead of a baby!
Pre-hairtcut...he's excited! :)
This donut hole is the perfect distraction!
All done - sorry for the bad photo...he was over it. :)
