Basement Reno Begins!

Well, you know us!  Couldn't have a season without some type of renovation going on...though honestly, I think this is possibly our last one!  We've officially started on the basement.  Our plan is to leave half unfinished for storage and laundry, and finish half as a bedroom, bathroom, and livingroom area.  This will give us the extra space we need since our guest room upstairs will soon become Bennett's room.

It was a BEAST of a project just to get everything squished onto one half of the basement.  We still need to do more organizing.  For now it's just out of the way so our contractor can begin working.  He's got the rough framing up with the exception of a closet or two.  It's exciting to see it starting!

Here are a few pics of the framing work.  As you can see, we haven't quite gotten everything out of that side.  We have two old pieces of furniture we no longer use that we just have to decide what we're going to do with and move it up and out.
