Thanksgiving & Christmas Tree Cutting!

We were blessed to be able to spend Thanksgiving with both of our families again this year.  Our families live only an hour apart, so it's not too bad to travel on holidays.  We drove to Oostburg Wednesday after work and had Thanksgiving lunch on Thursday, played a few games, had pie, then drove to Green Bay for Thanksgiving dinner.  After dinner we did our annual "Go through black Friday ads" and planned our shopping trip.  Unfortunately, I really didn't find much I wanted/needed this year.  But Black Friday is a tradition for my mom, sister, and I, so we hit the stores early even though the things we wanted weren't hot ticket items.  We were home by 7am and spent the day watching TV and eating leftovers on the couch!

Saturday morning we drove back to Oostburg for the night.  Then Sunday, before we left, we went to a local tree farm and chose/cut down our tree!  I have to say, the tree looks almost twice as big in our living room as it did outside, but we only had to cut it down a little bit to make it fit, so it worked out.  :)  And it's beautiful.  We only have lights on so far.  Stay tuned for the fully decorated tree and house.  With unpacking, de-needling, and laundry, we haven't had time to go full out yet.

This is pretty much what Cooper did the entire time we were in Green Bay.  My mom's yorkie, Mollie, is allowed on the furniture, but Cooper's not (unless he's VERY calm).  So he had to "get her" from the floor.  :)
