That's because the tree was so large, we couldn't take it out of the house in one piece. Just wasn't possible. So on Saturday, Randy was here helping in the kitchen, and it turned out to be a perfect time to take down the tree (because then he could help us!). So Brad grabbed the saw and Randy held the branches back while Brad cut the tree into three (yes THREE) pieces so it would fit out the door!
The tree probably could have lasted another week or two, but unfortunately, Jan. 23 was Brookfield's last tree pick-up day. It just didn't feel right taking it down, though, since there's finally snow.
But down went the tree, and down went all of our Christmas decorations.
Back to normal!!!
