State Fair!

On Sunday late afternoon we went to the Wisconsin State Fair.  We aren't much into the rides, but we thought Ben would love all of the animals.  And my brother-in-law, Kyle, played there with his band at 6:30, so we thought we'd check them out for a bit before leaving.

Unfortunately we didn't know that this Sunday was a big day for closing the barns so animals could leave and new ones could come.  That was a big bummer.  But luckily we were able to get into one of the cow barns before it closed, and the Discovery Barnyard with baby animals was open all afternoon too.  Bennett got to pet a few cows and he LOVED it!  He kept "Mmmooooo!"ing and reaching out to try and pet them all.

We got to try some good food, too, of course.  Ben loved the cream from the cream puffs!

And we stayed for about a half hour of Kyle's show.  Ben really really loved the music at the fair and kept bobbing his head and dancing if we let him out of the stroller.  He entertained more than a few fairgoers. :)  We were thankful we brought his noise-blocking headphones, because he wanted to get close to the stage to see Uncle Kyle!

After we brought Bennett home and put him to bed, Brad's brother Robert hung out and stayed at our house for a couple of hours so we could go back and watch the rest of Kyle's show.  It was a lot of fun!
