A couple of weeks ago, we spent a week up north with Brad's family on Long Lake. We found a big house with a great beach on VRBO and we've already decided to go back next year! We had really good weather and were able to play outside most days. The kids enjoyed the sand and by the end were loving the water too. Eleanor's favorite thing was jumping off the dock into the water (helped by one of us). Ben loved the boat, fishing, s'mores, and helping grandpa weed the shoreline.
Pretty much everyday starting around 10am we'd hit the beach and play for a few hours until lunch. Then the kids would nap and the adults would swim/sun. :) I got a couple of books read which was nice!
Brad's dad has a boat so we did some tubing, fishing, skiing, and wakeboarding.
Brad took both kids tubing. Randy drove real SLOW. Ben kept saying, "Faster!!!"
S'mores was a hit with the kids! The adults liked sitting out by the fire most nights....the neighbors did fireworks and one even played guitar, sang and whistled. It was quite entertaining. :)
Such a fun week! We are already excited for next year!
