School!!!

Bennett started 3K this year at Brookfield Christian School!!!  3K is optional, but I knew he would just love it and I was excited for him to go.  It's so close to our house and he goes three half days a week.  It has been crazy having just Eleanor for some time!

Last Tuesday morning the whole family went for Meet the Teacher.  Ben LOVED the toys in his classroom and enjoyed doing a scavenger hunt to find things around his room.  He got bubbles when he finished. :)  He has two little friends in class, Eloise and Koyen, who both also go to our church.  Most of his good friends have September and October birthdays and will be starting 3K next year.  He has 12 kids in his class this year, and I'd say it seems like a wide range of maturity levels (some kids closer to 4, and some just turned 3).

Eleanor found some babies and was happy the whole time :)

Then on Wednesday Bennett had his first day!  He can enter his room at 8:00am, but school starts at 8:15am.  We got there right at 8:15.  Whew!  It's hard to get all three of us dressed and ready and out the door by 8.  The kids are used to slow mornings.  He also had school on Thursday and so far both days Eleanor tried to sneak into class too, and was sad when I took her out.  :)  At school, Bennett hangs up his backpack, puts his lunch and water bottle in buckets by the door, and hands in his folder, then goes to his table which is set up with an activity like coloring or playdoh or puzzles.  Then they have a mix of going outside, Bible stories, books, centers around the room, singing/dancing, and work with the teacher.  They also eat lunch before we pick him up!  He LOVES helping to pack his lunch.
