Eleanor: 2 Year Doctor Stats

Eleanor had her two year doctor check up on Monday.  Bennett had school, so I was able to focus on just Eleanor, which was nice.  She was shy/nervous with the nurse at first, but enjoyed being able to stand on the big scale for her weight.  She warmed up to Dr. Calkins right away, and enjoyed having her ears/eyes/heart checked.  She was a little nervous/scared when she had to lay on the table to have her tummy checked.  But Dr. Calkins is great and did a little tummy check on Eleanor's monkey first, so then Eleanor was okay with it.

She was fairly talkative and outgoing, and Dr. Calkins was really impressed with her development and speech.  Poor Eleanor did have a ear infection, and I felt really bad since I had no idea!  Dr. Calkins said some kids don't get fevers or anything, and that Eleanor must have a high pain tolerance.  Also, since Eleanor doesn't drink a lot of milk I have to make sure she's getting lots of yogurt and cheese.  Dr. Calkins said her heart murmur is really soft and hard to hear, which is great news.  She also has a couple of birth marks they've been keeping an eye on, and they are fading really well too.

Eleanor weighed 24 pounds, which is the 15th percentile.  She was 34.25 inches tall, which is the 69th percentile, and her head circumference is in the 49th percentile.  The doctor thought her growth chart looked great...she is pretty consistent but going up on the charts a bit.
