New House!

You can tell we've been crazy busy when I haven't even updated the "Life on Arbor" blog to be "Life on Old Lantern."  But yes - we've moved!  And only about a mile away.  We have always loved the Lamplighter Park neighborhood which is very near our Arbor Drive house.  It's still close to school, church, and shopping, but the houses are slightly bigger.  There is also a neighborhood park we can walk to which we are so excited about.  We were able to get a nice 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath house. It has an in ground pool, and although that wasn't something we were looking for, we are excited to try our hand at pool ownership.  It makes me super nervous with kids, but we are okay with it because the pool is fenced separately from the yard.

We had a lot of mixed feelings about leaving our first home, but in the end I think it's the best long term choice for our family.  We'll be able to grow into this home for years to come!  We had a stager come through our house and give us some tips, then we spent a couple of weeks staging and de-cluttering.  We listed our house on a Thursday when we went to Michigan, had 17 showings, and on Sunday night accepted a great offer.  We closed on our new house on Sept. 4 and closed on the old house Sept. 14.  So it was pretty tight. And super stressful!  I think we are just about finally unpacked (2 months later!!!!), but still have not really hung up any decor.
