Pre-landscaping...

One of the hardest parts was picking out the plants. Right now, plants are on sale or clearanced because it's the end of the season, which is great, but it means things are MUCH harder to find. We've been to Hawk's nursery several times, Minor's nursery, Stein's more times than I'd care to admit. We've long since missed good plants at Lowe's and Home Depot. Just to show you how often we've been plant shopping, at Stein's Friday night, a worker saw us come in and said "Oh, you again?" Haha. Oh well, I think it paid off!
Finished product!
Oh did I forget to mention the family of bunnies we found? Yep, that's right. Brad's dad warned him we better not leave the pile of mulch in our yard too long or we'd have new residents, and sure enough! Brad was shoveling piles of mulch into the wheel barrow to put around the new landscaping and he noticed there were five baby bunnies in the wheel barrow! UGH! So cute but SOOOO Annoying! We have tons of rabbits in our neighborhood and they've already been eating my new coneflowers like crazy, so having five new resident rabbits sounds awful. In the end we relocated the bunnies...
And here are a few pics of Cooper post-surgery. He's been real clingy and sleepy. He also got a card from his friend, Josie! How sweet! He's starting to act pretty normal again but still a little clingy and whiny. And he still sits really fast a lot (like he's trying to hide the fact that something's missing...). Poor Coop!
Cooper snuggling!
He got a letter!
From Josie DeLange! :)

Josie is SO honored her card made your blog, she worked so hard on it! The yard looks fabulous!!!
Your yard looks beautiful! What a lot of work for you all, but it's worth it. Just think how fun it will be next spring - with everything growing. I can't wait to see you this w/end! It's been a long time! Love you, Mom
