Eleanor is two months old now. Each day she is changing - it's crazy how quicky babies change! The biggest changes have been how much she smiles and "talks" now, how much better she sleeps at night, and how much less she poops! Ha! Before she pooped almost every time she ate, and now she only poops once a day - like a big explosive one. Yuck.
Eleanor still doesn't put herself to sleep and needs to be rocked, but she is sleeping longer at night. She usually falls asleep around 10pm and wakes to eat at 4! Then after that and the rest of the day she eats every 2-3 hours, usually every 3 hours lately. She still naps best in her swing, but at night she sleeps mostly in the pack n play.
Eleanor has been starting to have more awake times, usually like an hour in between naps and she's usually awake and fussy from 7-10pm. That's been rough because that's when Bennett's asleep and Brad and I relax and unwind. Not so much anymore! Now we take turns soothing the baby. She is starting to be more accepting of a nuk though, so that helps a little. Also warm baths help when she's really fussy - she loves baths!
One big problem is that Eleanor adamantly refuses to take a bottle. If she's in a good mood she'll chew on it a little but otherwise she will scream or just purse her lips together. It pretty much means I can't leave her. We are working on it though because I need some breaks!
When Eleanor is awake she is happiest being bounced or sitting in her bouncy seat. She coos at the little animals that hang down. She loves being talked to, especially by Bennett! I love having a girl because she is so fun to dress up! The headbands and little leggings are just too cute.
We go Thursday for Eleanor's two month check up. My guess is that she's just shy of ten pounds, but we will see!
