Isla is super into chewing her hands lately. Sometimes she pushes her nuk out so she can chew her fingers instead. She has also started to look at the toys hanging above her play mat and bat at them/grab them a little bit. She loves her play mat and laying flat on her back, and can spend 15-20 minutes on there. Isla can roll over too, but definitely is not consistent with it yet. She loves to sleep on her side and sometimes that results in rolling over, but then she's stuck and mad. Isla is also getting to be pretty smiley if you smile at her, and she will coo/talk a lot. She sometimes does a little laugh/cough noise too, which is pretty cute.
Isla is in size 1 diapers still and 3 month clothes, but they are definitely getting short on her. We'll probably have to move her to 6 month stuff soon. Honestly she wears PJs most days. She just still sleeps a lot, and because she has some tummy issues, pjs just seem more comfortable.
Speaking of tummy issues, we just aren't quite sure what's exactly wrong with Isla (if anything?!). Our pediatrician thinks it's worth it to try treating Isla for silent reflux. She has some signs of this: fussy, hates the carseat, archy/uncomfortable a lot, fast/short nurser, bad sleep unless being rocked... But sometimes she also just seems gassy and like her tummy hurts her (she wakes up with LOTS of gas each morning). But since Eleanor had silent reflux and it can run in families, we are starting there. We do have an appointment with GI at the end of June to see what they think. I'm also cutting dairy, which can cause/flare reflux, and she and I are both starting probiotics. Whew! We are trying everything to help this poor girl feel better so she's more content, and I pray that in her four month blog post I can update that things are going better!
A pic with my helper! :) Every month when we take these pics, he runs and gets his little camera and takes some too. Such a sweet big brother!
