We Have Carpet!

So newest exciting news...the carpet came for the family room today!  The end is VERY near!  We just need a few finishing touches now (doors on the cabinets, tv for above the fire place, lattice grids on the windows...oh yeah, and furniture!).  For the real effect, here's the "before" and "after" shots of the family room.

Family room before...doesn't look too bad until we find out the insulation stinks, ants are in the wall, fireplace doesn't work and parts are retired, wall paper is under the paint, "waynescotting" is actually paneling covered with wall paper.  The whole room reeks - YUCK!

Family room after...totally redone!  New insulation, drywall, windows, patio doors, new fireplace & tile, mantle built by Brad's dad, can lights, surround-sound speakers, new floor/window/door trim, built in bookshelves/cabinets (by Brad's dad), and NEW CARPET!

IN OTHER NEWS...

Brad's family came down Saturday to do some things in the family room that had to be done before the carpet came.  We also went out to dinner to Stir Crazy to celebrate some birthdays - Randy's is today (Monday) & Robert's is Wednesday.  Happy birthday guys!!!

And Cooper is still a cutie!!!
