Bookworm Gardens is a garden for kids to play in that is based on children's books. It's in Sheboygan so really close to Oostburg. We spent about two hours there and it was fun. As a teacher, I appreciated all of the book references. Bennett didn't quite get that (although he loved seeing Curious George!) but he thought the garden was really fun. There are lots of little areas and many things for kids to do!
Looking at letters. "B for Bennett!" "D for Daddy and duck!" "Where's M for Mommy?"
Baby bear's chair, Papa Bear's chair, Momma Bear's chair!
The 3 bears!
Covered wagon in the Little House on the Prairie area :)
Each new area had a theme, like this one was "ponder." Then each area also had a little nook with a door you could open and find a laminated copy of each book represented in that area. We did not even try to read them all....we probably read 3-4 books in total that day but that was pretty good for a 2 year old with lots of fun things around him! :)
Bennett washing "Harry the Dog" - this was probably his favorite part. He could've sat and done this for awhile. We read the book too, since I wasn't familiar with it.
The Magic Schoolbus! Ben was excited to actually be able to go inside and sit on a real bus!
