Last weekend we went up to GB for the last time before our family is a family of 9! Amanda and Casey's first baby (a boy!) is due October 27 and we are all so excited! Despite it being VERY cold outside, and us getting almost everyone sick with a stomach bug, and despite Eleanor sleeping horribly because of a stuffy nose....it was a fun weekend! Friday night we got there, the kids went to bed, and the adults chatted and snacked (the boys also went in the hot tub!).
Saturday was a day pretty much surrounding the kids, haha. A nearby park, Josten Park, had trick-or-treating on Saturday morning. You walked through the park and different businesses had tables with candy. It was a very good event for little kids, including a bounce house and the local fire engine! Bennett enjoyed it, aside from being cranky and sometimes needing to be carried (he would literally sit down and refuse to move). Eleanor enjoyed the one thing she could eat - a yogurt tube! :)
Ben loved meeting this lion, like him!
Saturday late afternoon was Zoo Boo and the NEW Zoo. This was a fun event with candy stations set up throughout the zoo. Again, Bennett was a bit crabby (I think now it was probably because he wasn't feeling well but we didn't know this at the time).

Saturday night the adults had a chili cook-off! All three turned out delicious! Ours was a traditional chili, Casey's was spicy, and Kyle's was smokey! They were really good. Sunday we just kind of relaxed and hung out, had a little more hot tub time, then headed home. Besides a few hitches in the weekend, it was a blast! Crazy to think the next time we see Casey and Amanda, they'll be parents!!!
