The Weekend Crazies...

I realize I'm posting about my weekend and it's only Saturday afternoon.  That's how much has been going on already...

Friday night was a pretty low-key night.  Our friend Brian came over and we grilled fajitas.  They were delicious and afterwards we were all craving custard (read: NOT ice cream).  So we googled what the flavors-of-the-day were at various locations.  We all ended up LOVING the sound of "Take 5"...the only problem?  Take 5 was only available in Cedarburg.  Well, we decided it was worth the 35 minute drive there and back.  We drove to Cedarburg, rockin' out to Wicked the whole time. :)  Thanks boys!  It definitely was worth the drive.  It was delicious.  Just as we're finishing up and they're closing down, they change the sign to the next day's flavor: Puppy Chow.  Wow.  We're still toying with the idea of driving back tonight for it.
Trying to figure out how exactly to get to Cedarburg...

We made it just in time!

Proof!  Yum!

Then Saturday morning we decided to do some landscaping.  We spent the past few weekends getting all the flowerbeds ready around the house and seeding grass where we no longer wanted plants.  On Wednesday a landscaper from Stein's came and drew up a plan for us and this morning we went and bought some of the plants to start putting in.  So far we only did the side and back of the house (plants are expensive!!!).  We're going to wait to do the front until we finish taking out this big tree we no longer want.  We are also going to wait to put mulch in until we finish the front.  You'll notice everything is pretty small...it's MUCH more expensive to buy bigger plants.  We decided we're fine waiting a year or two for things to be full-sized.  :)
We planted three rose bushes in the front...

Hostas and hydrangeas on the side of the house...

Moved my birthday rosebush from last year and added some coneflowers...

Some grasses to hide the air conditioner.  I know - it's beautiful, why hide it???

Some daylilies and welgia in the background...

Brad working on our garden....lots of stuff is coming up!!!

Also, the volleyball net is up!  So come on over to play.  We're usually out there every Sunday after lunch.

Cooper enjoying being outside with us!

That Take 5 looks great! Sorry I couldn't make it! Landscaping looks good, too! Can't wait to try out the net!
